UK winter mornings will show a lower gauge on this Forman without a puncture. Set 34/34 psi at ~20 °C equivalent, not after a motorway blast. A 10 °C overnight drop takes roughly 1 psi (0.07 bar) off a closed Skoda tyre.

Temperature and a cold gauge

Roughly 1 psi per 5–6 °C. The table uses 34 psi as a 20 °C baseline for this Forman.

How to set the Forman

  1. Measure before the school run, not after the M25.
  2. Write LF / RF / RR / RL. Do not keep Forman numbers in your head.
  3. Add air in short bursts toward 34 psi (2.31 bar) front and 34 psi rear.
  4. If one corner is 4 psi down, hunt for a nail before you blame the weather.
  5. Log date, ambient temperature and the four readings.

If the Skoda sticker is painted over, the handbook is next. This website is a map, not a replacement VIN label.

Estimated pressure by tyre size (195/65R15 and others)

Planning cold pressures for sizes often seen on a passenger car. This Forman sample opens with 195/65R15, then 245/40R18 and 205/55R16.

Load notes

Load moves the rear of a passenger car first. If the factory placard already has a “laden” column, use that instead of these sketches.

Skoda notes

No special Skoda exception: the Forman uses the door-pillar placard. Size estimates on this page only help if you have left the original load index behind.

Spare and inflator kit

A matching full-size spare on the Skoda Forman usually follows the higher axle (often the rear, near 32-35 psi). A space-saver is commonly 60 psi / 4.1 bar — read that tyre’s own sidewall. An inflator kit is not a spare; check the sealant date.

A cheap gauge and a monthly habit will do more for this Forman than nitrogen upsells.

Questions about this Forman

Is the sidewall number correct on a Skoda Forman?

No. Sidewall PSI is a maximum. The Forman placard is the operating target, near 32-35/32-35 psi.

How often should I check a Forman?

Monthly, before a long trip, and after a 10 °C weather swing. Include a full-size spare.

Should I bleed pressure after a motorway run?

No. Heat raises the gauge. Set cold only. Bleeding a hot tyre leaves it low the next morning.

What PSI if I plus-size toward 205/55R16?

Keep load index at or above OEM. Low-profile sizes usually stay at or slightly above the placard. Use 195/65R15, 245/40R18 and 205/55R16 as a planning band.

When does TPMS warn on a Skoda Forman?

Direct TPMS typically flags about 25% below placard — near 25 psi on this row. Fill to the sticker, not to the lamp.
