UK winter mornings will show a lower gauge on this Clarity without a puncture. Set 34/34 psi at ~20 °C equivalent, not after a motorway blast. Under-inflation cooks the shoulders of a Clarity; over-inflation wears the centre rib and bangs every cat’s eye.

Temperature and a cold gauge

Roughly 1 psi per 5–6 °C. The table uses 34 psi as a 20 °C baseline for this Clarity.

How to set the Clarity

  1. Measure before the school run, not after the M25.
  2. Write LF / RF / RR / RL. Do not keep Clarity numbers in your head.
  3. Add air in short bursts toward 34 psi (2.31 bar) front and 34 psi rear.
  4. If one corner is 4 psi down, hunt for a nail before you blame the weather.
  5. Log date, ambient temperature and the four readings.

Honda Clarity placard versus sidewall

If the Honda sticker is painted over, the handbook is next. This website is a map, not a replacement VIN label.

Estimated pressure by tyre size (225/50R17 and others)

Planning cold pressures for sizes often seen on a passenger car. This Clarity sample opens with 225/50R17, then 195/65R15 and 185/65R15.

Load notes

Load moves the rear of a passenger car first. If the factory placard already has a “laden” column, use that instead of these sketches.

Honda notes

Honda cars cluster around 32–35 psi (2.2–2.4 bar). Reset the TPMS from the cluster after a large fill on many 2008+ models.

Spare and inflator kit

A matching full-size spare on the Honda Clarity usually follows the higher axle (often the rear, near 32-35 psi). A space-saver is commonly 60 psi / 4.1 bar — read that tyre’s own sidewall. An inflator kit is not a spare; check the sealant date.

Keep the Honda Clarity on the printed band; use 225/50R17 and 185/65R15 only as a map for non-OEM wheels.

Questions about this Clarity

What tyre pressure should a Honda Clarity use?

Catalogue reference is 32-35 psi front and 32-35 psi rear (2.2-2.4 / 2.2-2.4 bar), cold. Confirm on the door-pillar placard.

How often should I check a Clarity?

Monthly, before a long trip, and after a 10 °C weather swing. Include a full-size spare.

What is that in bar and kPa for the Clarity?

Mid-points are about 2.31 bar (231 kPa) front and 2.31 bar (231 kPa) rear.

What PSI if I plus-size toward 185/65R15?

Keep load index at or above OEM. Low-profile sizes usually stay at or slightly above the placard. Use 225/50R17, 195/65R15 and 185/65R15 as a planning band.

Front versus rear on the Honda Clarity?

This row is 32-35 F / 32-35 R. Even when they match, a laden rear can justify a higher number if the sticker prints one.
